Aquatic Invasive Species Newsletter – April 2017

There is a lot happening the Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinator’s office this spring! Clean Boats, Clean Waters certified boat inspector training is going on soon in areas near you. If interested in becoming a boat inspector, please sign up soon. Look for new boat cleaning signage and tools at your area boat launch sites in upcoming weeks as a tool to keep the AIS out of the lake. An update was provided on the joint efforts of Waukesha County AIS Staff and Carroll University students to control purple loosestrife in wetland areas through the use of Galerucella beetles as a biological control measure.
